Dorothy Pedersen is the founder of Nature’s Garden LLC, a landscape design/build firm opened in 1989.

In addition to a certification as a landscape designer, she is the past president of the Ramsey County Master Gardener program and was a member of the program for over 10 years. She is currently a Tree Care Advisor for the University of Minnesota. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska with a degree in business, and is a member of the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.

She travels to tour gardens and attends industry seminars to remain up-to-date on the newest design trends, most recently to the Chelsea Garden Show in London, England.

Dorothy was featured as the winning designer in January 2008 on a design project for HGTV’s “Landscaper’s Challenge”. The segment will be shown again this year. She was also featured on the Hennepin Technical College website as an HTC Success Story.
 
Over the past 16 years she has designed a variety of landscapes, from low maintenance spaces, lake shore restorations, English cottage perennial gardens, Japanese/Asian influenced spaces, commercial projects, town homes, children’s/family gardens to portions of the Roseville Arboretum.

Dorothy resides in a suburb of St. Paul, MN with her son and two English Springers.
